Juggling Act: Work & Motherhood Balance

How does Angel manage her mental health and wellbeing, and how does she find a balance between work and motherhood?”

Well, I guess we can start with the question, “Does Angel manage her mental health and wellbeing?” 

All I can say is, I try. Sometimes I try really intentionally, other times I am just running with it and hoping for the best. 

For my own mental health and wellbeing, I see my own therapist and I love it. I recently transitioned to a Jungian Analyst and it is life-changing. I think the unconscious work is so impactful, so it’s a really good fit for me. I think the client-therapist fit is so important and this can change and grow over time.  When I am really, really on top of everything, I make it to the gym consistently and my morning routine is meditating, a quiet coffee and taking time to do my gratitude and daily journals. When I’m not, I sprinkle my diet with delicious pepsi and fun dip. 

Does Angel even know what balance means? True balance is elusive.  Are you pickin’ up what I’m puttin’ down? I know therapist’s are supposed to have a lot of great tips, I am choosing the authentic route on this one. I do have some great unhealthy tips – such as, only do your school work in the wee hours of the night when your family is sleeping so it doesn’t impact them at all. Needless to say, my balance between work and motherhood definitely ebbs and flows.
